New School Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reference Guide:
While students have been learning from home this school year, the Safe Routes to School Program has been busy developing resources for schools in preparation for the return to in-person learning. When students return to school sites, we expect that many families will feel safer driving their own students resulting in more single-family school trips. This increase in cars can make navigating the drop-off and pick-up process more stressful.
This new Drop-off and Pick-up reference sheet provides schools with ideas separated into easy to implement changes and long term solutions to keep school drop off and pick up traffic moving, and making it safer for students that are walking and biking to school.
SR2S staff can help identify improvements or programs to address safety during these high traffic times. See how we can support a new program with potential project funding and materials.
